‘WE CAN PLAY VERY IMPORTANT ROLE TO STRAIGHTENING ECONOMIC RELATION’: CHINESE AMBASSADOR
New Delhi, 6 January. A India-China Trade Centre delegation led by Mr. V.K. Mishra, Chairman ICTC today met the Chinese Ambassador to India, Mr. Zhang Yan. The meeting discussed various aspects of trade and business development between the two countries. The two sides decided to jointly develop a harmonious environment in business market.
The Chinese Ambassador said that opportunities are there so we can play very important role to straightening economic relation. Mr. Zhang Yan said “both countries are positive and our President and Premier have very good relationship with Indian Prime Minister.”
He said “of course we have some issues but we can work out.” Last year was quite OK but this year we will do better in the field of bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Two top leaders have set the trade target of $60billion in 2008. We will work for that and we hope with the joint efforts of both sides we will be able to attain the trade target. Both countries contributed in a positive way to the world economy.
Mr. Mishra present ICTC annual report to Ambassador and said that we are working positively and ICTC is trying to bridge the gap and providing a platform for all stakeholders. Chinese Economic & Commercial Counsellor in India, Mr. Peng Gang was also present on this occasion.
