ICTC’s one of the founder and vice Chairman Nitish Sengupta, former Lok Sabha MP and Revenue Secretary passed away after a massive cardiac arrest here on Sunday.
He is survived by two daughters. He was elected to the 13th Lok Sabha from the Contai (West Bengal) Parliament seat on a Trinamool Congress ticket, but joined the Congress in 2004 after the UPA I government came to power.
He was Chairman of BRPSE since 2007 and played a stellar role in the turnaround and financial upkeep of a number of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) in the recent years; and had given away the ‘BRPSE Turnaround Award 2013’ to 4 CPSEs only the last Thursday.
