Advisory Board Meeting of India China Trade Centre (ICTC) on Wednesday, 16th October 2013 at 11:30 AM at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi
Important decisions taken during the meeting:
Shri Rajeev Shukla, (Hon’ble Minister of State for Planning and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India) Chairman Advisory Board has requested vice Chairman Advisory Board Dr. Nitish Sengupta to Chair the today’s meeting as he has to receive the Prime Minister of the Republic of Hungary, Mr. Viktor Orban in New Delhi at the same time.
Dr. Nitish Sengupta chaired the meeting. He gave a warm welcome to the Board Members and Special Invitee present at the meeting.
Shri V. K. Mishra, Executive vice Chairman has briefed the board about the activities of last year, proposed opening of new branch offices and formation / expansion of committees.
The Board has approved the opening of Andhra Pradesh State office at Hyderabad and Tamil Nadu State office at Chennai.
In the Background of recent visit of the Chinese Primer Mr. Li Keqiang and the MOU signed during that visit and forthcoming visit of our Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to China, Indian’s interest to invite investment from China and bridge the trade gap. The Board has approved the formation of followings committees:
1. Committee on Agro & Food Processing and Marine Product
2. Committee on Regulatory Affairs & Taxation
3. Committee on Law & Justice
4. Committee on Films, Media and Communication
5. Committee on Metals, Minerals & Chemicals
6. Committee on IT & ITES
7. Committee on MSME
8. Committee on Automobile & Auto Components
The Board has also approved the expansion of Committee on Energy and Green Energy.
