“India-China Gems & Jewellery B2B Matchmaking”

India China Trade Center (ICTC) along with Guangdong Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Association and KACO Smart organised the “India–China Gems & Jewellery B2B Matchmaking” on 11th November 2019 at Le Meridien Hotel, New Delhi. The B2B matchmaking has been attend by 100+ Indian and Chinese enterprise to enhance the communication, increase mutual understanding and deepen business cooperation among the enterprises of both the countries in the field of Gems, Diamond Jewellery, Gold Jewellery, Silver Jewellery and imitation Jewellery.
In his welcome address Mr. V. K. Mishra, Executive Vice-Chairman of the India China Trade Center (ICTC) welcomed the participants and emphasized on the need for two countries to cooperate with each other in Gems & Jewellery Segment, as there are huge scope of Cooperation. He further said that India is one the largest exporters of Gems & Jewellery. The Industry plays a vital role in the Indian economy for its role as a major contributor to the total foreign exchange reserves of the countries. Indian Government has permitted 100% FDI in the sector under the automatic route and it give great opportunities to Chinese large enterprise to enter into Indian market. The Indian fashion jewellery market is also growing rapidly and anticipated to grow at a CAGR of around 23.5% during 2017-2022.
Mr. Pan Xuping, Chairman of Guangdong Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Association, said that there is enormous opportunities for cooperation between Chinese and Indian enterprise in the Gems & Jewellery sector, especially collaboration in designing, technology, equipment, packaging and import and export also.
He further said that, many of his members are doing business with Indian enterprise and event like this will help in developing the mutual cooperation & understanding between the enterprises of both countries. His company produce more than 10 crore pair of jewellery every year and employ more than 6000 people. His design of jewellery mostly cover the living style of Chinese people and various culture.
The B2B Matchmaking was also attended by National president of Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council Mr. Pramod Kumar Agrawal, representative of Federation of Indian Export Organizations and members of Imitation Jewellery association to strengthen the cooperation.
Organizers feel that B2B Matchmaking, it is a platform to exchange the ideas, explore opportunities, initiate cooperation & Collaboration and Convert this collaboration into successful businesses among the enterprises. ICTC has announced that it will lead a business delegation of Indian Gems & Jewellery enterprise to China early Next year to visit Chinese manufacturing facilities and cluster to understand the best practices adopted by Chinese enterprise.
On conclusion participants expressed their satisfaction and thanks the organizers for brining Indian and Chinese enterprise on same platform for discussions, networking to establish the business cooperation.
