Chairman SRC Mr. V. K. Mishra visit to China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair)
On the invitation of the Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre (CFTC) Mr. Wang Zhiping, our Chairman SRC Mr. V. K. Mishra visited China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) along with high power delegation. The lead Indian company participating in the fair was UFLEX Limited, headed by Group Director Mr. S. K. Kaushik and CEO Mr. Prabir Ghatak.
At the delegation level talk, the two sides (ICTC & CFTC) discussed a wide range of subjects of bilateral interests covering economic cooperation, trade and investment, infrastructure and Micro, small and medium enterprises development.
China Import and Export Fair also included international pavilion in the 3rd Phase of the Fair, as earlier international pavilion was included in 1st Phase of the fair only.
The ICTC and CFTC agreed to increase the Indian participation from 6000 (Approx) per session to 10000 per session of the fair in coming sessions of the Fair. Special focus area on capital machinery is regularly attracting Indian participant’s especially large companies in power, infrastructure construction and other sectors. Both sides have decided to extend the B2B matching process in more focused manner.
The meeting reflected our desire to build a set of cooperative partnership in the bilateral trade promotion between India and China.
China is now India’s largest trading partner in goods. Trade between the two countries this year is well on its way to achieve the US$ 60 billion target set by the Prime Ministers of both countries.
